National’s Mark Osborne is refusing to speak to Insiders New Zealand (or anybody for that matter) on his role as the General Manager of an controversial $15 million Te Ahu centre, which is now the subject of a governance and funding investigation review by the Far North District Council.
Insiders NZ’s Michael Riley has been attempting to contact Osborne for two days to discuss the allegations of the investigation and his involvement within the centre, however, all calls for comment have been declined.
Osborne tells us and many others that no National candidates are to be interviewed before the by-election.
According to a fresh article from Patrick Gower at 3News the centre had over 14 million dollars of ratepayer funding, but had lost over $700,000 over the last two years.
Northlanders have the right to question about such allegations, and it’s clear National aren’t willing to let voters know. Did they not do background checks on Mark Osborne before he was made an candidate?

Well ya know, I do not think most of the NZ public are really interested in that….
I know it has probably been a buzz to go to Waitangi and throw shit at John Key once a year, but if you vote Winston Peters in up in North land, you get to tip a whole truck load on him. I will not understand it, if John Keys party get this seat returned, and make no mistake, who ever is sitting for National is Keys puppet, if you vote for John Key, you also get all the strings to do his dance that go with it. Only the very rich will vote for his man, and nothing will change if you vote for these unscrupulous liars. Although , he will probably tell you later , that you gave him a mandate to do as he pleases with Northland.
