Hillary’s first campaign video: “The deck is still stacked in favour of those at the top”.

Hillary Clinton, the first major Democratic contender to throw her hat in the ring for 2016 has launched her campaign with a promise to fight for America’s middle class.

Two candidates from the Right-wing Republican Party, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, have already stated their intention to run. Ted Cruz, a Canadian-born son of Cuban and Irish parents, is running an anti-immigration and Christian conservative campaign whilst Rand Paul attempts to turn the page on ‘same old GOP’ and run as a libertarian.

Hilary Clinton is the spouse of former US President Bill Clinton (in office 1993-2001) and intends to, like her husband, run a government from the centre, stating she wants to cancel out the “Left and Right” and “Blue and red” and run a “nice and warm” purple government.

Clinton’s first video is a classic liberal one, with particular emphasis on the lives of women, ethnic minorities, workers and LGBT.
