The finalised results of the Greek election show a major turn in voting patterns across Greece. Almost every Left-wing party rose and almost every Right-wing party fell as the country sent a clear message against austerity. The Panhellenic Socialist Party, once the main Centre-left and governing party of Greece fell to just 4% of the vote (7th place).
Combined total of Left of centre parties: 3,481,991 (56.3%) (Syriza, To Potami, Communist, Panhellenic, Democratic Socialist, Anticapitalist, Green Dem-Left, Marxist, Workers’ Rev, Internationalist Communists.)
Combined total of Right of centre parties: 2,464,325 (39.8%) (New Democracy, Golden Dawn, Independent Greeks, Orthodox Rally).
